sixixis create unique and exciting pieces using local unseasoned timber. Combining our passions for Art and Design with our own innovative steam bending equipment and techniques, we are able to create seemingly impossible pieces of work out of solid hardwoods such as Oak and Ash.

We only make very limited numbers of their products as each product demands the highest of quality and attention to detail. This quality and detail combined with our high environmental and ethical standards have forged a new way forward in the boundaries between contemporary Art, Design and Craftsmanship.

As an artist uses a pencil we steam bend wood to express and encapsulate ideas and ways of thinking into solid objects. Our work now has become more than just expressive demonstrations of what is achievable using steam and wood, which has grown on your doorstep. It consists of carefully considered pieces designed around contemporary issues and questions that we strive to address through our work. Inspiration for the work comes from life, our world and how we see it. With the progression of our ways of thinking the methods we use with the material change and evolve.
